Official partnership between US Military Endurance Sports & Knight Composites

Boulder, Colorado – December 14, 2015 US Military Endurance Sports (USMES) is proud to announce an official partnership with Knight Composites Wheels, a company founded by like minded individuals who are advancing the science of cycling wheel manufacturing. Working alongside the University of Toronto Institute of Aerospace Studies, their efforts have resulted in a new generation of super-fast, stealth wheel designs that have taken construction and safety standards to a whole new level, all of which is underwritten by a manufacturing team enlisting industry thought leaders, engineering, technology and personality from all over the world.

“Working with Knight Composites is a dream come true and will serve the military athletic community in ways that drive the entire population forward with a focus on health and wellness, while also embracing the latest technological advances to increase speed and performance,” said USAFR Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Bill Jacobus, Executive Director, USMES.

The wheel spec for the entire USMES team will consist of Knight 35, 65 and 95 wheels on the road, with Knight’s new for 2016 off-road Gravel, Trail and Enduro wheels coming into the frame in February. All wheels will be built on distinctive blue Aivee SR5 hubs, a CNC precision manufacturer whose parent company is also heavily involved in the design and manufacturing of highly technical aerospace and military applications in France; and Sapim CX Ray spokes, a long-time partner of Knight’s founding members and manufacturer of the world’s best spokes.

“We have military connections throughout the Knight family, and we couldn’t be prouder to be a partner of the United States Military Endurance Sports team and club members across the USA and worldwide. We thoroughly embrace and support the integrity, goals and sheer determination of all of USMES’ athletes, from their elite team to their aspiring members. It’s inspiring to share the lives of these amazing people, people who are first and foremost dedicated to their country; and it is incredibly humbling that they would trust us to make them even faster and more capable of becoming the best athletes they can be, with the world’s fastest wheels,” said Beverly Lucas, CEO, Knight Composites.
